Built in Germany and specially commissioned by the Broads Authority, Ra was the first ever solar powered passenger boat in the UK when it was brought to Norfolk in 2000.
Take a trip on solar powered boat Ra to experience the watery wildlife of the Broads National Park at Whitlingham. Surrounded by green banks and woodlands, with ducks, geese, swans and other water birds for company, it's difficult to believe how close you are to the city! The Great Broad is home to an abundance of fish as well, and flowers and grasses flourish along the banks. In season, dragonflies and butterflies call the Great Broad their home, making for some fantastic up-close displays and sightings.
Ra seats up to 12 people and is fully accessible to wheelchair users. It is recommended that you bring warm, waterproof clothes for trips in the Spring and Autumn.
