The historic Flint Barn has been converted into a Broads Authority tourist information centre, café and WC and is situated on the River Yare.
Broads Authority Tourist Information Centre
The centre, set in the wonderful surroundings of the flint barn, offers a range of items for purchase including books, maps, guides, postcards, gifts, parking permits and short visit boat licenses. You can also make bookings for accommodation and trips out on the solar powered boat, Ra. The friendly staff are experts in the park and surrounding areas and love answering visitors questions and queries.
Don’t forget to explore the touch screens in the Flint Barn which will introduce you to fascinating Broads wildlife, and look out for the newly installed swift tower in the car park, if you're lucky you might just see some screaming swifts!
The Barn Café
Also situated within the Flint Barn is the café serving an all-day menu starting with cooked breakfasts. Then from 11.30am it offers a deli bar with freshly made sandwiches made from speciality breads, baked potatoes with a choice of fillings, and home-made cakes and scones baked on the open plan premises. That's not to mention the tasty coffees and traditional teas on offer. If weather permits, be sure to rest your tired legs in the outdoor seating area where you can overlook the Broad and watch the world go by.
The Café's summer opening hours are 9am to 5pm and winter hours are 10am to 4pm.
